Revamp Your Smile with Invisalign®

Everyone wants nice, straight teeth. But the thought of having wires running across mouths, scratching, poking, and making it hard to eat, speak, and sleep, is a nightmare for many. However, did you know that there is an alternative known as aligners?

Invisalign retainers are not braces

Invisalign is an increasingly popular choice among teens and adults who want straighter teeth without the inconveniences of traditional braces. The transparent, removable aligners offer treatment that reduces interference with patients’ everyday lives.

Although Invisalign is a great option for correcting minor to moderate orthodontic issues, there are some occurrences that may limit its effectiveness. These include extremely rotated or tipped teeth, severe under or overbites, and unusually shaped teeth. However, other brace treatments can be used in combination to finish the correction if needed.

Invisalign aligners are removable, so patients need to commit to keeping them in for 22 hours a day. You can’t eat or drink anything other than water with them in, in case of staining. After treatment, it’s important to wear a retainer to help maintain a good tooth position long term.

Can I get Invisalign?

Invisalign offers a Smile Assessment Test to determine if you might be a good candidate for the treatment. However, at the end of the day, only a qualified orthodontist will be able to assess the extent of correction that your teeth may need. Except in severe cases, Invisalign can treat most everything that can be corrected with fixed braces. Having a clear idea of what you want fixed ensures that the orthodontist can match you to the most appropriate brace options.

At TAG Dental, our specialist offers a range of orthodontic treatments to suit all patients, including Invisalign, fixed braces, and lingual braces.
